Pigs raised in a way we trust to feed our family

Summer Pork Harvest

clean meat, for the whole family.

Maypop Pigs

There is a rich smell of earth around our pigs as they push the cool dirt in search of tasty morsels or just make a soft spot to rest. They have a good life, rooting the soil with their noses, snacking on fresh forage, and moving to a fresh patch of forest, pasture, or ecotone every few days. We raise pigs this way because this is the food we feed our family with. Our pigs eat an all organic diet (no corn or soy) and are raised without harmful chemicals, vaccines, growth hormones, or antibiotics.

  • Organic feed (soy & corn free), pecans, and everything they can forage: roots, leaves, mushrooms, nuts, fruits, and bugs.

  • Red Wattle x Meishan

These two heritage breed pigs excel on pasture. The Red Wattle  is known for its dark red meat and high quality marbling. The Meishan is an excellent forager and produces great pork.

  • Around 5-6 cubic feet. This is about the equivalent of 5-6 milk crates.

  • 135-160 lbs depending on the size of the pig

  • The pork is frozen immediately after processing and will be delivered in vacuumed sealed plastic wrapping.

  • Bacon comes from the pork belly, in order for it to become bacon it must be cured. We do not cure any meat, but you are welcome to keep those cuts whole and cure it into bacon yourself
